FAIRMOUNT PARK (18 acres) - 5222 Quaker Street, Golden - Between McIntyre and Easley Road SOUTH of 54th Ave.
With a 60-car capacity paved parking lot and a handicapped-accessible restroom facility, this is the District's largest park. There are three clustered picnic pavilions with charcoal grills. The large shelter has four eight-foot tables and one grill. The other two smaller pavilions each have two eight-foot tables and one grill. A large playground area is adjacent to the pavilions. This park includes a regulation soccer field, a basketball hoop, a horseshoe pit, and a recently enlarged riding arena for equestrians. A quarter-mile walking/jogging perimeter trail encompasses the park. There are approximately four acres of turf grass. There is also a large natural grass area available for horse and rider.
