FAIRMOUNT PARK (18 acres) - 5222 Quaker Street, Golden - Between McIntyre and Easley Road SOUTH of 54th Ave.   With a 60-car capacity paved parking lot and a handicapped-accessible restroom facility, this is the District's largest park. There are three clustered picnic shelters with charcoal grills. The large shelter has four eight-foot tables and one grill. The other two smaller shelters each have two eight-foot tables and one grill. A large playground area is adjacent to the shelters. This park includes a regulation soccer field, a basketball goal, a horseshoe pit, and a recently enlarged riding arena for equestrians.  A quarter-mile walking/jogging perimeter trail encompasses the park. There are approximately four acres of turf grass. There is also a large natural grass area available for horse and rider.

Directions

Take I-70 West to Colorado Hwy 58 (exit 265).
Take Hwy 58 to Mcintyre St. (First exit on 58).
Go north on Mcintyre (right at the end of the ramp) to 54 th Ave.
Go west (left) on 54 th Ave. to the “Sage Valley Kennel” sign. This will be Quaker St .
Park is just past large blue building on the east side of Quaker St .
