Applewood Park (11 acres) - 1840 Alkire Ct, Golden  
In early 2000, a new playground was added to this park. It also has one regulation sized baseball/softball diamond, one regulation sized football/soccer field, a volleyball court, horseshoe pit and a basketball goal. There is one picnic shelter with four eight-foot tables and two charcoal grills. There is a handicapped accessible restroom facility. A ¼ mile perimeter walking/jogging trail wraps around the park. This park has an 80-car capacity paved parking area. There are approximately nine acres of turf grass.
